The majestic columns topped with Ionic capitals greet all who visit the White House Inn Bed and Breakfast. Built in the early 1900's by Mr. E. R. Cash, a wealthy textile magnate, the home had fallen into disrepair by the late 1980's. Since undergoing an extensive restoration, the home now exceeds its original beauty both inside and out. The name White House Inn is in honor of Mr. Jim White, a local architectural visionary. If not for his extraordinary restoration efforts in 1991, the Inn would surely have been lost forever. |

The inn reflects an earlier era of charm and elegance in the south. Images of horse drawn carriages waiting at the columned entry to carry away the southern belles descending the stairway of the central foyer are easily imagined. At the White House Inn we have tried to combine the grace of yesteryear with the comforts of today. We have furnished the inn with antiques as well as memories. We hope that you will find happy memories here as well. The Inn feature high speed wireless internet WIFI for our business travelers. |
